It isn’t uncommon for us to get a call from a homeowner in a panic because their dog or cat has pooped or gotten sick on the carpet. It is one of the worst stains to have on a carpet or rug and no matter what you may try chances are you won't be able to clean it yourself.  Fortunately there is a relatively easy solution!

1.         Take a puddy knife and gently carpet as much of the soiled waste as possible.  Do not brush the carpet fibers, but gently absorb.  You want to pull up the waste from your carpet, keeping as little as possible from spreading and making a wider stain. 

2.         Then you will take a wet towel and place it on the stain. You will then want to gently blot the towel allowing it to absorb the stain like a sponge. This will help extract as much of the waste without spreading it. 

•           NOTE: You may want to use our spotter bottle we offer to our Castle Rock customers, but it would not but helpful in removing the entire stain. You will need a professional steam cleaning.
