Understanding Upholstery Cleaning Codes
Hi Everyone it's Kyle with TLC Carpet Care talking with you today about Upholstery codes.You say well Kyle what are they and what do I need to know? The furniture industry has put labels on your furniture so you will know how to properly clean your furniture in case of spills. This is also helpfull in picking out the right cleaning codes. These codes are located usually underneath the cushions. Here they are. (W) Clean the upholstery fabric with a water based derergent. (S) Clean the upholstery with a water free product such as a solvent. (WS) Means you can clean with either water based cleaner or solvent based cleaner. (x) Always call professional never clean it yourself. If your furniture does not have these labels thgen its best to call a professional who can help you identify your fabric. Also before cleaning make sure that your furniture is properly vacuumed. Vacuuming should also be done as a regular part of your furniture maintance .
